Change the Channel

You’re sitting watching TV and you realize that what you’ve just previewed is nothing but pure trash or something you’re not interested in watching. Shaking your head, you start to flip channels until you come to one that interests you. Happy, satisfied, and content, you relax and watch a good old fashioned wholesome movie or show. You decided that your time was more precious than the junk on the prior channels. You CHANGED THE CHANNEL. Good for you!

The same holds true when tuning into a radio station…nothing you want to hear so you start the search for something worthwhile. You CHANGED THE CHANNEL.

Many question themselves as far as posting on Periscope, Facebook Live, YouTube, LinkedIn and other social media sites and say to themselves,  “There are so, so many great speakers, teachers, coaches, etc. already posting very valuable content on a daily basis. Why should I? After all I am just another of many.”  I know I have said this and questioned myself on several occasions.

That’s when a friend and I discussed how one can simply Change the Channel”.

Digressing just a bit, please don’t get me wrong in the analogy used in my opening paragraph and the correlation with viewing speakers, teachers, etc. on social media: I don’t even think any of these powerful people on social media (well not all anyway) are spewing trash or junk. I actually love listening to others and gleaning from their experiences and teachings.

What I am saying to you is, if you are called to speak, teach, lead, mentor or coach, or whatever the calling may be, use the various tools out there to help you reach your targeted audience. If a person does not want to hear what you have to offer, that person always has the option of CHANGING THE CHANNEL. Don’t let your insecurities or thoughts that no one will watch or view or that you are one of hundreds, perhaps thousands doing the same thing. Every person has their own audience of viewers and supporters. Believe me, the harvest is plentiful, and even with those doing it there is always room for your gift.

Might I challenge you too to carefully monitor what you take in as with who you listen to. When you hear something that doesn’t sound right, CHANGE THE CHANNEL.

The bible tells us all throughout that we are to seek wise, Godly counsel and walk among the wise.  It goes on to tell us that we are BLESSED when we do so. Choose what goes through your ear gates as with your eye gates very wisely. Everything that sounds and/or even looks good just may not be. Exercise some wisdom.

For those who use a remote control (LOL We all do!) just sit and flip the channel until you come to something worth your time.

Walk among, listen to, glean from wise people and you too shall become wise. Whoever you associate or spend the most time with, you are more apt to become like . Hang with, view, listen to the wise and become wise. Conversely, hang with, listen to, and glean from the foolish or the constant, daily feedings of junk and foolishness and that’s what one becomes.

Okay, so don’t shoot anyone down. Keep your negative comments to yourself. You have options and one of them is to just CHANGE THAT DOGGONE CHANNEL!

And, if you are hesitant about displaying or promoting your ministry/business/gifts, remember they are number one, NOT FOR YOU but for you to be a blessing TO OTHERS and two, that people always have the option of CHANGING THE CHANNEL. Your audience is waiting for YOU!!! They need what you have to offer!

Isaiah 40:29-31New King James Version (NKJV)

29 He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
31 But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

Progressing through life and moving through the various seasons, there often comes times when we have to wait. How we wait is determined largely by us, but it is a given that there will be seasons of waiting. So what do you do? How do you wait?

First off, it’s exhilarating when everything flows smoothly and we are on cloud nine…doing fine on cloud nine…flying high on cloud nine. When things suddenly stopped flowing as you desired them to do, or when you hit a slump, a slight detour, a roadblock or a hiccup, what do you do?

I’ll answer that in one word–Wait!

WAIT expectantly knowing that things will change.

WAIT and continue to do what you know you need to do and are able to do.

WAIT as you go about serving others.

WAIT–fasting, praying, worshipping and praising. Thanking God in advance for the manifestations.

WAIT knowing that God who has created each and every one of us is in control of our seasons. We do our part, WAIT, and trust God to do the rest.

Partial Lyrics to Juanita Bynum’s “I Don’t Mind Waiting”

I don’t mind waiting
I don’t mind waiting
I don’t mind waiting on you Lord
I don’t mind waiting
I don’t mind waiting
I don’t mind waiting on you Lord
None of us truly likes to wait, however we realize that as we go from one level to the next, waiting plays a tremendous role in the process. That’s a given.
Do you mind waiting? Do you fall completely apart when life causes you to stop dead in your tracks or do you worship, work, praise God, serve others, study, learn, grow and realize that this is necessary for your growth? How we wait is extremely important!
There will be seasons of downtime. I believe we spend more time waiting as we go from one venture to another, than we do progressing. Notice I said, “I believe”.
Imagine if you will, you set out to lose weight. You start to eat properly. You exercise. You do everything you know you need to do BUT you see no results for weeks, perhaps even months. You’re waiting to see the results but you START on your journey to become fit KNOWING that at some point and time you will get there. You set your target dates for your weight loss. You may or may not hit the mark on that particular day but you see lots of improvement. You feel better. You look better. The scales however are not your friend as they show you DID NOT accomplish your targeted weight. Do you shake your head and just say “I quit” or do you set another date and keep moving forward?
Let’s say, you are in school. You expect to graduate within a certain time period. Life happens, the hiccups come in the form of sickness (either yourself or a loved one), financial issues, and any number of other things. Life happens!  These prevent you from graduating on your expected date. Do you just throw up your hands in despair and say “It’s just too hard. I quit!” or do you get back on track as life permits and trudge forward later accomplishing your goal, vision and dream of graduating?
Do you mind waiting? You might as well not mind, but make up your mind that you will determine how you WAIT. He gives us the strength to WAIT. It is necessary.

Rise Up2

Happy Easter!

On this day many will teach and preach about the resurrection of Jesus and rightfully so. My topic today deals with a resurrection of YOU! Yes, it’s time to RISE UP!

Each and every week, we hear of people transitioning from this life. This statement, although very much real, is not to scare anyone but to cause you to reflect on the things that need to RISE UP within you.

Life is but a vapor; time is short. What in you needs to RISE UP to accomplish your purpose for being here? It’s resurrection time!

This will not be a long article but one that I ask that you search your heart and soul: ask yourself the questions and begin to walk in your calling fully embracing it and becoming who you were destined to be.

Let’s get rid of ALL excuses. The time is now! Time to RISE UP–rise unafraid, RISE UP!

Jesus said in the bible that even though he had done great works while here, greater works than these shall we do as he was going to his Father. John 14:12

There’s a passage of scripture taken from Isaiah 32:9 that states: “”As for you ladies of leisure— Get up and listen to my voice! You daughters who feel so complacent— hear what I have to say! International Standard Version” It’s time to RISE UP!

Even though the above scripture deals with women, the time is now for men and women alike to RISE UP!

So again, I ask that you challenge yourself; that you push yourself now totally and completely from your comfort zone; that you stir up the gifts inside of you; that you begin to RISE UP!

That’s all for today.

Always remember the gifts given you are not so much for you, but for you to be blessed to be a blessing. RISE UP!

Jeremiah 33 is a familiar passage of scripture to many of us. In the beginning of the chapter, God came to Jeremiah and told him to call upon him and He would answer and tell him great and unsearchable things he did not know.

He went on to say that He, the Lord, would bring health and healing to the houses and city of Judah that had been torn down. Let’s take a look though at some other promises God gave Jeremiah.

He said:

  1. I will heal my people and let them enjoy abundant life.
  2. I will bring Judah and Israel back from captivity.
  3. I will rebuild them as they were before.
  4. I will cleanse them from all the sin they have committed against me.
  5. I will forgive their sins of rebellion against me.

THEN, the Lord says why and what will happen: This city will bring Him renown joy, praise and honor before all nations on earth that hear of the good things He does for it; and they will be in awe and will tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace He provides it.

People, He said, calls the cities desolate waste, without men or animals, but He says that the sounds of joy and gladness, the voices of bride and bridegroom, and the voices of those who bring thank offerings to the house of the Lord, saying Give thanks to the Lord almighty for the Lord is good;  his love endures forever.

He states, “I will restore the fortunes of the land as they were before.”

What is it that you need God to restore in your life? Is it family relations? Health? Finances? Your reputation? Dreams and Visions? Just what is it that you desire Him to restore for you? God has given His promise of restoration: He can and will do it for you if you only ask and believe and follow His guidance and direction.

God wants us to live and enjoy an abundant life. A life filled with good health, great relationships, financial overflow, peace, joy, love, happiness…He wants all of that for us. He’s actually promised us throughout His word that He will restore everything that has been taken from us. Jeremiah 33 is just one passage of scripture that addresses this, but there are many more that lets us know God is a restorer, and only wants what’s best for His children.

So how do I get it becomes the question? At the start of these writings, I paraphrase Jeremiah 33:3. How do you or I get what God is saying to us for total restoration to take place–Call upon Him–morning, noon, and night and He will answer and tell us the way. Yes, He is the way and as such, will lead, guide, and direct us to total restoration.

Listen to hear what the spirit of the Lord is saying to you. Be quick to obey and watch restoration take place. He’s promised us this and God is not a man that He should lie.

Peace and Blessings to all of you!

Believe in Yourself2

Really? Did you even have to ask this question? YES! YES! YES! You definitely need to promote yourself and the works you are doing. In fact, you should be the biggest promoter of you and your works!

Many authors are disappointed when working with a publisher to get their books in print. I’ve heard it time and time again…The publisher did nothing for me. Let me let you in on a little secret: Unless you have a contract with the publisher to promote, market and distribute your book to include their fees for service as well as the percentage each party will receive, the publisher has no obligation or responsibility to promote your book.

Business owners find themselves extremely upset as their family members, friends, and associates do not distribute information regarding their business. Do yourself a favor, get over it! Promote you and your works.

How do you promote your business and your works?

  1. Join groups that allow you to share what you do on their social media pages. Reciprocate by allowing others to share on your social media sites.
  2. First things first, get established on social media sites–Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, Twitter, YouTube, and on and on and on. There are many out there. Use them!
  3. Attend events and have your products with you. If you have no products so to speak, at least have professionally done business cards, postcards, and/or flyers that you can hand out to those you meet and greet.
  4. Have a 30 – 60 second elevator pitch prepared well in advance. Practice it until you perfect it. Imagine yourself enclosed in an elevator for 30 seconds with someone. What would you say to the person as a way of introducing you and your business or products?
  5. Be a vendor at various events. Enlarge your territory by supporting others in business by being a vendor.
  6. Take out inexpensive ads in various newspapers, radio, and even TV. Believe me, there are some out there that can be affordable.
  7. Always be ready to go when the opportunity presents itself. Of course, it’s humanly impossible to attend all functions, but get out there, let your presence be made known: Work it, work it, work it!
  8. Remain humble, teachable, listen a lot, learn from those that have gone before you doing what you aspire to do and follow your coach’s advice. In order to get somewhere you have never been, you must be willing to do some things you’ve never done. As you learn, network, grow and venture out…PROMOTE YOURSELF and soon you will find that others are promoting you as well.
  9. Never forget to express gratitude to those that do promote you or open doors for you. Remember, no one has to do anything for another. It’s only the goodness of that person and the grace of God. Acknowledge them for what they do.

These are just a few ways to promote your works. Hopefully they will get you fired up and either on track or back on track in promoting the works you’ve done.

One last tidbit, always be ready to help promote others in whatever way you possibly can. This has a two-fold recompense: it helps you as with the other party.

Wishing all a great week filled with loads of love, tons of blessings, great health and peace that surpasses all understanding!

Regina Mixon Quote Poster 2

As I pondered on some of the reasons things had not gone as I had hoped in my life, one thing resonated within and this may possibly be the thing that keeps you from succeeding…I was double-minded! Yes, and we know the word says a double-minded person is unstable in all their ways. Before you crucify me, allow me to explain and you may just see yourself in this.

Throughout the years, I have vacillated back and forth between staying on a job which provided comfort while pursuing my businesses and ministry. For awhile this was okay as in going through the various stages of learning it was absolutely necessary to continue doing both BUT the season ended a while ago and yet I still tried to hold onto my good job, my comfort zone, and pursue my purpose at the same time. It didn’t work. Torn between two lovers.

And things got worse on both.

God graced me for a season to be able to do both effectively but after that season was over I could not and would not let go.  I was mediocre in both and hated that. I was also extremely exhausted and frustrated because things were not happening.

He gave me the strength that was needed for that season. I was like Jonah when the season ended: God said “go” and I said “no”.  But, I got turned around

You might ask what stopped me. I’ll tell you– it was fear of letting go of what was familiar, wanting to stay around the people I grew to know and love and because of this I ended up exhausted, not being fully effective or efficient in either of the jobs I was doing. Still, I held on.

It was my having my plan and trying to make my plan happen and not surrendering 100% to His plan.

Before you say “You? You’re a woman who talks faith all the time!” Yes I do!

Yes, although I didn’t fully realize it at the time, but I was caught in the clutches of “FEAR”. Imagine that!

When a person becomes hungry enough for the vision God has placed inside of them and realize that we do walk completely by faith, then that person is ready to receive the blessings God has for them. We honor and show God that we trust Him!

God is calling many from their comfort zones into the walk of faith. Will you accept the call or will you hang up the phone?

Something else I realized by learning from the school of hard knocks: When one is not hungry enough, when one has “their” backup plan, when one does not aggressively commit 100% into their purpose, another cannot do business with them. A person must be able to deliver what they promise, when they promise and how they promise. If one has too many irons in the fire, too many options, so to speak, it causes them to put your business on the back burner resulting in your business suffering.

Why? Because that individual has to decide if they are hungry enough and going whole hog into their purpose. When that becomes their number one priority, then and only then, can one do business with them.

Okay, so February 28th I broke the cycle and left my good government job, the awesome and amazing people I work with and I jumped! Now I am resting up for a minute, getting some things in order, and moving forward. Yes, Lord!

Frightened a bit, but doing it anyway.

What if I fail? What if I win!!! After all, we are DESTINED2WIN! So failure is not even optional.

I encourage you to “JUMP” into your purpose. Don’t creep…JUMP! I am so glad I did and only wish I had been obedient earlier. Partial obedience is disobedience!

Now I can admit my shortcomings and as you look at the person staring back in the mirror at you, ask yourself–Do I really want it? Am I hungry enough yet? If the answer is yes, JUMP!!!

While we are on the subject, ladies, I said ladies, can you hear me? If you sit back and want that house cleaned and you know it’s filthy, JUMP up and clean it and repeat it as often as needed.  Holler!

If you want to rid yourself of excess weight, hit the gym or go walking or do something at least 3 days a week…JUMP!

If you wish for that degree, guess what? Wishing won’t make it happen…JUMP!

Consistency is the key!

Dedication, determination, disciplined, decisive, faithful, focused, fearless…

Whatever it is you desire, the time is now to JUMP! That is, if you really want it.

Men, you too! Jump, jump, jump to it!

I’m hungry and I am jumping like crazy…time for me to eat. I recall a scene from the movie BAPS where the male character is telling his lady (through tears) that he wants to be able to take her to a nice restaurant to eat and they shouldn’t have to sit back and watch others eat all the time (or something to that affect) and not be able to eat themselves.

Well, if you’re like me and tired of watching others eat while you sit on the sidelines, you too will JUMP!!!

If I fail, if I succeed, at least now I will live totally and completely as I believe. Holler!

One last thing, what if you jump and it does not work out? Will the people mock me? Will the people support me? Will I look foolish? Will I lose?

Reverse that: The people will support me. The people will celebrate me. The people will encourage and cheer me on. Those that are going to will; those that don’t really does not matter. Truth!

JUMP into whatever God is calling you to do. Don’t wait. Don’t procrastinate. Don’t vacillate between your plan and God’s plan. Just participate and surrender fully your will to His. Then you are ready to JUMP.

By the way, pick up a copy of Steve Harvey’s book, JUMP. I have it, haven’t read it yet, gifted a copy to a friend but I know it’s going to be yet another tool to help keep me motivated.

Have a great week!

The Cost of Freedom

Is freedom really free or is there a price that is paid for freedom? Do we actually have freedom of speech as laid out in the 1st Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America?  What about the freedom to be and/or do whatever our desires are?

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

In all honesty, we know that freedom of speech is almost non-existent. We can take a look at several cases where people have actually lost jobs, been arrested, verbally attacked, stereotyped and labeled as hate groups, and so many other negative actions taken against them as they exercised their right for free speech. The laws define, and sometimes on a case-by-case basis , what is and is not free speech.

Churches have been labeled as ones promoting hate as they do nothing but preach the word of God.  The press has been arrested or “called out” by some as they attempt to do their jobs in covering the news. People peaceably protesting have been arrested for no real cause. So, is there a price to pay for freedom?

Let’s take it on another level, a personal level for most individuals. As you continued your education or climbed the ladder of success in hopes of securing a better life for you and yours, did you pay a price? Yes, you did. You were in search of financial security and debt freedom, a home for your family, obtaining a great job, buying a car, starting a business…You were in search of freedom as you defined it for yourself and your family. So what was the price you paid?

I’ll tell you some of the prices paid/investments made as you sought after freedom–

  1. In order to continue your education, many first had to put up an INVESTMENT of MONEY unless you were given a full scholarship or grants covering your education. The investment may have been made via student loans, parental support or any number of ways but an investment was made. The same holds true for starting a business, buying a home or a car. There was an investment of money made upfront.
  2. As you sought after freedom in the areas shown above, there was an INVESTMENT of TIME made and most likely lots and lots and lots of it; sometimes years. You put in the time in studying. You put in the time in searching out the best deals when considering purchases. Time was invested in finding out the best possible home in the location you desired to live in for the best price. When searching for a vehicle for your family the same holds true. You looked at numerous houses and cars before actually purchasing one. You invested time in seeking out the best possible deals  for the amount you were willing to pay. You didn’t jump and buy the first thing you saw without counting up the cost and you SAVED towards a down payment or outright purchase.
  3. You made the INVESTMENT of PATIENCE. Yes, patience is an investment that leads to freedom. As you studied hard to pass the courses you realized that it would take a minimum of two years or four years or perhaps even six years before you actually obtained the degree or completed the course. You patiently waited and while doing so, you worked your butt off. You searched and looked for the houses/vehicles. You researched and learned everything you could about starting a business. You patiently accepted the fact that you were going to have to continue education in some form or another in order to stay relevant.
  4. You made the INVESTMENT and understood the necessity of DELAYED GRATIFICATION. You saw the end at the beginning and kept it in mind as you pursued. You were focused!  There were many things you may have WANTED but you understood the difference between WANTING and NEEDING and so you denied yourself these items. Now you can buy all of the shoes and other items you want. The price was paid upfront so that you could reap the benefits at the end.
  5. You paid the price by being MISUNDERSTOOD by your friends and family. You knew you could not go all of the places they wanted you to go. You knew in order to reach your goals you had to remain focused. You knew that many were disappointed by your decisions and didn’t understand why you were backing off and that this opened the door to much negatives–“Who does he think he is?” “I guess he’s too good for us now.” Oh we’re not good enough for Mr. College Boy” “Guess this neighborhood is not good enough for him anymore.” You understood why you were doing what you were doing and instead of some being happy for you, you were sometimes just plain ole misunderstood.
  6. You paid the price by telling the TRUTH and taking a STAND even though you knew upfront you would likely be persecuted for doing so. You took a stand and remained true to yourself and true to God. In doing so, many false accusations were made about and against you. You held fast to your convictions.
  7. You paid the price, remained true to yourself and to God and because of this, you succeeded in accomplishing your goals, dreams, and visions. And guess what, you realized the price you paid was worth it in the end.

These are just a few of the prices paid for your personal freedom(s). I’m sure you can add a lot more to the list. Suffice it to say, FREEDOM IS NOT FREE as there is a price to be paid. But once that price has been paid and the investment made, one can celebrate days of freedom many times over as each accomplishment is made.

I found many great quotes regarding the price of freedom. One stated it is death. Another stated it is eternal vigilance. Yet another stated responsibility is the price of freedom. I am in total agreement with each of these. Yes, freedom is not free.

None of our pursuits, or any worthwhile, will happen overnight. It takes time! Be willing to do whatever needs to be done, having God as your guide, faith in yourself and keep trudging along until it manifests. It will, and as stated above, you will celebrate many days of freedom.

There was an old song years ago entitled: Getting What You Want But You’re Losing What You Got”. Though I couldn’t find the lyrics to it, while searching google I did find the lyrics to a song by Coldplay: “FIX YOU” which shares some of the message I attempt to convey in these writings.

Partial Lyrics:

“When you try your best but you don’t succeed
When you get what you want but not what you need
When you feel so tired but you can’t sleep
Stuck in reverse

When the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can’t replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?

Tears stream down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down your face
And I

Tears stream down your face
I promise you I will learn from all my mistakes
Tears stream down your face
And I

Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you”

Sometimes in life we get what we want but at what expense? Oftentimes while getting what we want we lose precious things and people that we have. And the question becomes is what I want really worth it? Am I truly happy?

When answering the questions many times you decide that it is worth it and other times you realize that it’s not. What do I mean by the latter?

If you’re pursuing fame or fortune, the cost is often way too much as you stand to lose great relationships, sleep, money, and so much more. You’re getting what you want but you’re losing what you have. Is it worth it? For some it may be, others perhaps not.

On the other hand, if you are pursuing YOUR PURPOSE, you stand to possibly lose some of the same things BUT there is a huge difference. The things that appear to be lost are not actually gone. When one pursues their purpose, everything that’s “lost” is actually an investment and does come back to the individual multiple times over and over again. Remember in a prior message I mentioned an investment yields a return. Remember the story of Job.

Know the difference.

My advice to you is to identify and pursue YOUR PURPOSE and never go after FAME or FORTUNE. In doing the first, what appears to be loss is actually gain. In doing the second, you may actually end up getting what you want but losing what you have that can be irreplaceable.

Learn from the mistakes that’s been made and correct them. It’s not too late.

Allow the tears that stream from your face to turn from tears of sorrow into tears of joy. Tears of sorrow sometimes accompany pursuit of fame: tears of joy comes in pursuit of purpose or passion. Either way, tears will be shed, but allow them to be or become tears of joy. Get what you want but not at the expense of losing what matters most.

The light that guides you home is the light of love of our Father which gently leads and guides us into truth. Allow Him to light a fire in your bones, one that burns ever so intensely for Him. And He will fix you. As He does, allow his light to shine in and through you.

Spend or invest the time you have now in getting what you want as you pursue your purpose. You won’t lose. You WIN!!!

Yes, in life in pursuit of either, we will lose some people as God calls each of us home. That’s a given and there’s nothing we can do about it. We will lose some people as we go from one level to another. That’s also a natural part of life. We may possibly see our health decline as we age. That’s also a part of the cycle of life. But what we stand to gain is eternal life with our Father and hearing him say “Well done thy good and faithful servant” as we come to the end of this life as we know it and transition to eternal life.

The word says what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul.

The word also tells us to seek first the kingdom of God and ALL of these things shall be given or added unto us.

Now just to clarify, I am definitely not saying that there is anything wrong with having FAME or FORTUNE. Actually, I honestly believe that both many times come as you pursue your purpose. I am saying that I believe, and notice I said “I believe” that this is not what we should seek after but rather find, identify and pursue our purpose.

Get what you want! Give yourself and others what they need as God leads, and you not only win but you help so many others to win. You no longer have to lose.

Just a little something to think about.

It takes courage to acknowledge your part in the demise of a particular situation or relationship. It takes courage to admit you are wrong. It takes courage to deal with and confront difficult situations that we’ve neglected in the past. Do you have the courage to do so?

Do you find that when someone has wronged you or there’s been this ongoing rift between you and another that it’s difficult to fess up and say I was wrong, or do you allow the perceived pains and hurts to go on and on and on? Do you realize yet that life is short and holding grudges or unforgiveness towards anyone stifles your growth and possibly robs you and the other party(ies) of what can perhaps be a beautiful relationship? One ordained by God for His glory?

Do you have the courage to confront difficult situations that you’ve avoided due to fear or perhaps uncertainty as to what the outcome will be? Has your failure to do so set you on a path that has taken you off course to being the real you?

Let’s be real…let’s face it and tell the truth…we all have wronged someone. We all have been hurt. We all have said some things that we wish we could take back. We all have made some super dumb decisions. We all have experienced setbacks and disappointments.

Know this, that beautiful relationship that once was, can be restored to one better than ever…if we have the courage to confess that we were wrong and take the necessary steps to right the wrongs.

Stubbornness, being hard-hearted, prideful, fear, none of that helps to build relationships. Just the opposite is true. Playing that “Hey won’t you play another somebody done somebody wrong ” song over and over is a trick the enemy uses to steal, kill, and destroy. Confessing our part in a situation may just be the step to bring restoration.

I repeat, life is entirely too short to hold grudges that leads to confusion and destroyed relationships. Some relationships WE DO need to leave alone as they were never healthy ones in the first place but those that you know that you know that you know were…those are the ones worth fighting for.

Yes, it does take courage but guess what? God has equipped us with the strength that we need to go back and get it right. We just have to be willing to act. Now is the time.

Don’t put off for tomorrow for thou knowest not what a day may bring. Don’t hang your head in guilt, shame and sorrow when a person transitions allowing your conscience to beat you down because you had the opportunity to get some things right and chose not to. Don’t let this week go by without contacting the parties involved getting it right. Don’t do it.

Don’t ignore the people that you know you need to deal with in order to right wrongs. It costs us so much in the end.

You know as I write to you I am first ministering to myself. The word says “Today if you hear my voice, harden not your heart.” Do it now. You will only be better for it.

Confess, kiss, hug, makeup, forgive and know that in life this sometimes has to happen over and over again with the same person or group of people. Love, according to 1 Corinthians 13, covers a multitude of sins; is patient, kind, suffers long, is not puffed up, it bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.

Don’t tell me or anyone else you love them. Love is ACTION so show me and show others.

Let’s get it right people!
