It takes courage to acknowledge your part in the demise of a particular situation or relationship. It takes courage to admit you are wrong. It takes courage to deal with and confront difficult situations that we’ve neglected in the past. Do you have the courage to do so?

Do you find that when someone has wronged you or there’s been this ongoing rift between you and another that it’s difficult to fess up and say I was wrong, or do you allow the perceived pains and hurts to go on and on and on? Do you realize yet that life is short and holding grudges or unforgiveness towards anyone stifles your growth and possibly robs you and the other party(ies) of what can perhaps be a beautiful relationship? One ordained by God for His glory?

Do you have the courage to confront difficult situations that you’ve avoided due to fear or perhaps uncertainty as to what the outcome will be? Has your failure to do so set you on a path that has taken you off course to being the real you?

Let’s be real…let’s face it and tell the truth…we all have wronged someone. We all have been hurt. We all have said some things that we wish we could take back. We all have made some super dumb decisions. We all have experienced setbacks and disappointments.

Know this, that beautiful relationship that once was, can be restored to one better than ever…if we have the courage to confess that we were wrong and take the necessary steps to right the wrongs.

Stubbornness, being hard-hearted, prideful, fear, none of that helps to build relationships. Just the opposite is true. Playing that “Hey won’t you play another somebody done somebody wrong ” song over and over is a trick the enemy uses to steal, kill, and destroy. Confessing our part in a situation may just be the step to bring restoration.

I repeat, life is entirely too short to hold grudges that leads to confusion and destroyed relationships. Some relationships WE DO need to leave alone as they were never healthy ones in the first place but those that you know that you know that you know were…those are the ones worth fighting for.

Yes, it does take courage but guess what? God has equipped us with the strength that we need to go back and get it right. We just have to be willing to act. Now is the time.

Don’t put off for tomorrow for thou knowest not what a day may bring. Don’t hang your head in guilt, shame and sorrow when a person transitions allowing your conscience to beat you down because you had the opportunity to get some things right and chose not to. Don’t let this week go by without contacting the parties involved getting it right. Don’t do it.

Don’t ignore the people that you know you need to deal with in order to right wrongs. It costs us so much in the end.

You know as I write to you I am first ministering to myself. The word says “Today if you hear my voice, harden not your heart.” Do it now. You will only be better for it.

Confess, kiss, hug, makeup, forgive and know that in life this sometimes has to happen over and over again with the same person or group of people. Love, according to 1 Corinthians 13, covers a multitude of sins; is patient, kind, suffers long, is not puffed up, it bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.

Don’t tell me or anyone else you love them. Love is ACTION so show me and show others.

Let’s get it right people!
