That weight you’ve been carrying is causing you to lag, drag, and you’re totally exhausted!Let me tell you today how you can lose some weight and keep it off. This pertains to both physical weight as with the weight of carrying others and/or trying to handle too much on your own.

“I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus! I cannot bear my burdens alone”. The song’s words rings loudly in the ears of many. We are weighted down with the cares of the world. Sometimes it can seem like you have a noose around your neck choking the very life out of you. The good news is you can drop the weight and live again. That’s something to shout about!

There’s a story in the bible about a man named Moses. Moses tried to do everything in his power to do what God had called him to do. He was chosen by God to rescue the Israelites from the Egyptian king’s Pharaoh’s tyranny. He was chosen as a leader.

Moses grew tired after working day-after-day. It took his father-in-law, Jethro to come to his rescue and shed some light as to how he could lose some weight. Jethro basically told him that what he was carrying was too much for him to handle alone and introduced the idea of effectively delegating tasks to others that they could do while he handled the more serious issues. Read Exodus17:13-27 for yourself. To get the full concept of what took place in Moses life, might I suggest you read the entire book of Exodus?

So, you want to lose weight. First step, stop trying to do everything on your own; fully utilize the people God has given you so that you can be more effective at handling the tasks assigned you. Next, once you put the assigned tasks into the hands of capable individuals fully able and willing to do the job, allow them to do the job. Know that you don’t have to be involved in every aspect or details relating to the job.

As far as losing weight physically, if you’ve had a hard time accomplishing your goal of releasing or losing weight in the past, and know the struggle is real, enlist the help of someone that can help you achieve your goal and set you on a path of developing and maintaining the lifestyle change you desire.

One must be healthy in order to go the distance in pursuit of their assignments. Let go of the emotional baggage. Let go and release some physical weight, if needed and run your race.

In each case, the enlistment of capable, qualified, and willing individuals is an absolute necessity.

We can carry too much emotional and physical weight that ends up costing us in so many negative ways.

It’s time to lose some weight and now is as good of time as any to start.
