Speak to Your Dry Bones

Have you been on a continual cycle of ups and downs, a roller-coaster so to speak?  Have you found yourself in places you never thought you would be?  Do you think your situation to be hopeless?  Do you feel as if your bones or life has dried up, that you continually dwell in the valley of dry bones?  Today I encourage you to speak to, to prophesy to those dry bones and begin to live again. I mean really live!

In Ezekiel 37, the bible speaks about the valley of dry bones.  Verse 3 poses a question—Can these bones live?  Verses 4 and 5 tells us the Lord’s reply—Prophesy unto these dry bones and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.  Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold I will cause breath to enter into you and you shall live.  I believe God is saying to each of us to prophesy to the dry areas of our lives; to speak life into our situations and to begin to live again.

It’s never too late to begin again.  Today is a new day.  Yesterday is gone.  Tomorrow who’s to say?  Spend time today beginning to rebuild your life.  You can start the process and now is the time.

Don’t listen to those that try to hold you to who you once were.  Ignore those that try to tell you who you can become.  Prophesy over your own life.  Pray and ask God where He wants you to go and what He wants you to do and be bold enough to walk it out.

I speak from personal experience.  Many questioned my motives as I began to live out what I believe to be God’s will for my life.  Even more questioned my sanity.  I began to question both and then I realized that I didn’t have to.  All I had to and have to do is be obedient to the leading’s of the Holy Spirit, not try to explain to people things I didn’t fully understand and just be.  My ex would always say to be that understanding comes later and it often does.

Now don’t expect the changes to happen overnight, it’s a process; just be willing and obedient and be the best you that you can be.  Make the decision to push forward daily in pursuit of being the very best that you can be.  And when you stumble or fall (because you will) repent, get up and start the process over the next day.  The bible even tells us that a righteous man falls many times but he gets back up.  Scripture tells us that if a man thinks he stands, take heed lest you fall.  Falling is a part of the process.

The entire 37th chapter of Ezekiel deals with the valley of dry bones.  In verse 10 it states—So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

Our words have so much power.  We can speak life or death.  The choice is entirely up to us.  I have said this many times and I’ll say it again—become the prophet of your own life.  Speak to that area that seemed to have dried up, take steps daily as the Holy Spirit leads, guides, and directs you and watch how the dry bones come back to life.

You can turn your life around.  You can have the very best in life.  You can have great relationships, become physically and mentally fit, become debt-free, be the biggest giver in your family…you can have what you say.

The wait is over!  It’s your time to walk into your new season.  And always remember God loves you just as you are.  He loves you too much to allow you to stay as you are, but the choice is yours.  He will not force His will on any.  Accept Him.  Receive Him.  Believe in Him.  Trust Him.  Obey Him.  Speak to those dry bones and choose life!
